SOCIAL EXPERIEMENT: DOUBLE TAP THAT

Five people five questions. Everybody get your scroll on. Two things that don’t seem to be going out of style any time soon are clothes and social media. We’ve seen Black Scale on everyone from Jay-Z to Asap Rocky. The alternative street-wear brand has carved out a respected cult following and continues to consistently cater to their consumer with crisp and clean collections season after season. At an attempt to tackle two birds with one article we stopped by the Black Scale Los Angeles offices and asked 5 of the creative geniuses 5 social media related questions. To make a long story longer, it went a little something like this..

Call them by their handle so they know it’s real!

Alexandria

Ladies First, of course…

Name: Alexandria

Social media handle: @LisaBeignet

BYC: How would you describe your vibe on social media?

Alex: Maybe a mixture of dry and sarcastic. I do a lot of song lyrics and take a lot of selfies but I’m not going to be in your feed every day.

BYC: When stalking the network of the opposite sex what are the first three things you’ll look for?

Alex:  If it’s Instagram I’m obviously paying attention to aesthetics. I look at how they’re dressed, how many followers and all that but if they have too many followers I’m going to question that.

BYC: What about social media deal breakers?

Alex: On twitter I’m going to need you to have something funny to say. I hate when people use words incorrectly or spell them wrong. The other day I saw someone post something where they clearly didn’t know the difference between the words critic and critique. Smh.

BYC: Any thoughts on fronting for the feed?

Alex: Oh no! I don’t post people I don’t fuck with in real life. If you see me with someone on social media you’ll see me with them in reality.

BYC: What can a guy do that would no doubt hands down make you slide in their DM’s?

Alex: I prefer to meet the old fashion way.

Second at bat…

Mateo DYNT

Name: Mateo

Social Media Handle: @MateoDYNT

BYC: How would you describe your vibe on social media?

MateoDYNT: I do a little bit of all of it. Crack a joke from time to time, talk my shit from time to time or post something inspirational. I can be really dark on there if I’m going through some dark shit. I’m a virgo we’re sensitive as fuck.

BYC: When stalking the network of the opposite sex what are the first three things you’ll look for?

MateoDYNT: How many followers she has and not the quality of the pictures but what she posts content wise.

BYC: What about social media deal breakers?

MateoDYNT: I don’t really fuck with girls with K’s by their names.

BYC: Yes you do.

MateoDYNT: No I don’t.  I wouldn’t wife one. That’s dangerous fasho. Those are red flags.

BYC: Any thoughts on fronting for the feed?

MateoDYNT: Are these trick questions? Fronting is a definite deal breaker.

BYC: What can a girl do that would no doubt hands down compel you to slide in their DM’s?

MateoDYNT: I don’t DM dive too much. If you DM a chick fresh off a thirst trap she knows what’s good, there’s a strategy to it. Some guys don’t get that

Third at bat…noah james_

Name: Noah James

Social Media Handle: @NoahJvmes

BYC: How would you describe your vibe on social media?

Noah James: up and coming model

BYC: When stalking the network of the opposite sex what are the first three things you’ll look for?

Noah James: Body, boyfriend, mom.

BYC: What about social media deal breakers?

Noah James: If she has a boyfriend that’s not a deal breaker but I’ll want to see what the dude looks like to see if I’ve got him beat.

BYC: What’s the ratio from slutty women to not slutty women online?

Noah James: All the popular girls are slutty. If they have a K by their name they’re probably slutty. lol

Now for the clean up hitter:MarsBlvck

Name: Mars

Social Media Handle: @MarsBlvck

BYC: How would you describe your vibe on social media?

MarsBlvck: Just a chill stoner dude. I post a lot of funny shit.

BYC: When stalking the network of the opposite sex what are the first three things you’ll look for?

MarsBlvck: Probably the amount of followers. I don’t want her to have a lot of followers. I guess I just look at her pictures and then on twitter I look to see the kind of stuff she favoriting or the kind of stuff she thinks is funny.

BYC: What about social media deal breakers?

Mars Blvck: For me, it would be something that they like or RT. Maybe if they rep a certain brand I’ll be like, damn that’s wack, or if she hits up one of the homies.

BYC: You can’t fuck with someone who likes your homies picture?

Mars Blvck: Nope.

BYC: Any thoughts on fronting for the feed?

MarsBlvck: Yeah, people have double lives on there. Sometimes I look at people’s pages and think what are you talking about? I know you in real life my nigga.

BYC: It’s evident that it’s okay to hit up women in Guy Code 101 on social media but what about befriending other guys?

MarsBlvck: What, like, my name is Carl, let’s be friends? HelllNahh!! Lol It would have to be a friend of a friend but if he post some weird shit like with his shirt off I’ll unfollow for sure.

Last but never ever least…
geff

Name: Geoff Leslie

Social Media Handle: @Uncle_Geoff

BYC: How would you describe your vibe on social media?

Geoff:  I don’t really take it all that serious but I’m enjoying my life.

BYC: When stalking the network of the opposite sex what are the first three things you’ll look for?

Geoff:  I look at how many people she’s following and how many people follow her then I scroll through her pictures and see what kind of pictures she has and that’s how I determine how I’ll proceed.

BYC: What about social media deal breakers?

Geoff: I don’t really trip off how many followers she has. I pay more attention to who she’s following

BYC: Any thoughts on fronting for the feed?

Geoff:  Fake fun? Oh, I hate fake fun.

BYC: What can a girl do that would no doubt hands down compel you to slide in their DM’s?

Geoff: I usually have to have met her at least once. Maybe have some mutual friends. Something like that.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen.I think the gems that we can take away from this is that DM diving should be done not only selectively or few and far between but fake fun ain’t fooling anyone and slutting for likes never goes un-noticed. Scroll safely my friends.
Till our next social experiment.
